‘Twas a battle of the bulldogs Wednesday night, as Roslyn held off Hewlett in a last minute push 66-60.

The bulldogs had many different contributors throughout the night, such as Noah Rosengold with 11 points, John Daley with 10 points , and Sullivan Jenson with 9 points off of the bench.

From the jump, Roslyn started hot early with an 8-0 lead before Hewlett would climb back into the game & even take a 6 point lead early in the 4th. HOWEVER, Roslyn remained determined to win, as they would out score Hewlett 24-18 the remainder of the game & pull off the win.

“We kept our defensive principles” said Coach Craig. “They (Hewlett) did a great job getting their shooters open, when we lost our focus. But we said after it & became committed to it late in the game, which allowed us to win”.

Roslyn was the dominant team for the first half, before Hewlett started to make a 22-17 run to tie the game by the start of quarter 4. Calm and collected, Roslyn stayed cool enough to gain another win in the column. “The strength of this team is our depth” Coach continued. “ We have guys that can come off the bench & hit big shots to help us win the game. We’re able to play more people than most teams, and it’s for the right reason. People we put in from our bench all contribute to wins and that’s what helps us move in the right direction “. With a few games left, Roslyn is poised to make a deep run in this years playoffs.
