The Stony Brook Men’s and Women’s Basketball programs have suspended team-related activates for two weeks due to two positive COVID-19 tests within the program, the teams announced Wednesday and Thursday afternoon.

The programs were originally slated to face the UMBC Retrievers this weekend and the UAlbany Great Danes next weekend. The men’s team will make-up the games against the Retrievers and Great Danes on February 6 and 7 and February 13 and 14, respectively. The America East has not announced a makeup date for the women’s team as of the time of publication.

Both programs top the conference standings as of the time of postponement. The mean’s team began their conference season 4-0 while the woman got off to a 3-1 start.
