All-LAXcess Highlight Play!

Collin Krieg- Goalkeeper, #4 UNC, Stony Brook, ’21: SV: 135, SV%: 53%
Fresh off dominating its “most complete game of the year” in the 21-9 win over then-No.9-Syracuse, UNC found itself in a tight affair against No.2- Notre Dame. When the Tar Heels needed someone to step up defensively, Krieg answered the call. The goalkeeper stopped 13 shots from finding the back of the net and prevented some of the nation’s best from scoring in the 12-10 win. Krieg saved 57 percent of his shots faced, following his 62 percent save performance last week. Krieg leads the team with 135 saves this season.

Cassidy Burns- Attacker, Bryant, Massapequa, ’21: A: 29, PTS: 37
The junior attacker did not need to score a goal to make history Saturday afternoon. Burns assisted her Bryant Bulldog teammates with eight assists in the 22-3 win over Central Connecticut. Her goal-helpers contributed to setting the program’s single-game goal record and tying its assists record, which completed 15 in total. The play maker also tied a single-game program record by setting a career high in assists. Burns leads the NEC with 29 assists and is averaging over 2.6 per contest this season.

Arden Tierney & Madison Ostrick, #12 Richmond, Port Washington & Medford
Few teams look better heading into its conference tournament than the No.12-ranked Richmond Spiders. While the program also had an individual set a single-game assist record (Rachel Ziemba with eight), it’s only fair to highlight two scorers who helped Ziemba set the record. Ostrick wasted no time finding the back of the net and finished the first half with four goals scored. Tierney supplied the Spiders with a pair of scores and two draw controls in the 18-15 win over A-10 rival George Mason. The team finished 6-0 in conference play, splitting the regular season title with UMass, and 10-1 on the regular season. Tiereny finished second on the team with 16 assists and third with 39 points while Ostrick led all starters with a .795 shooting percentage (minimum 5 shots taken).
